"While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!"

When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. But Jesus came and touched them. "Get up," he said. "Don't be afraid." When they looked up they saw no one except Jesus.

Matthew 17:5-8

I love that God the Father affirmed the Son before others. It is one thing to be affirmed alone. It is another to be affirmed before others.

How has God been affirming you? Don't be afraid to ask him for his affirmation. He likes to show you his love. Yes, it is one of his favorite things to do.
