I've been thinking about cross carrying. It made me think of this guy Simon. He actually did. He carried the cross of Christ. There's something here to pay attention to.

Luke 23:26
As they led him away, they seized Simon from Cyrene, who was on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him and made him carry it behind Jesus.
Denied himself - he was kept from doing what he wanted to do.
He took up the cross - literally.
He followed Jesus - literally.
