In 1 Kings 3 God visits Solomon in a dream and asks him a question: "What do you want?" Solomon answers wisdom, and the rest is history.

In Mark 10 Jesus is walking down the road to Jericho and runs into Blind Bartimaeus and he asks him a question: "What do you want?" Bartimaeus says he wants sight, and the rest is history.
